It's not the book; I've checked it. RMSDK tries to avoid widows and orphans by controlling page break locations. If you pay attention while you read, you'll notice that text will often not reach the very last possible line, instead starting a new paragraph (or ending an old one) on the next screen.

The algorithm responsible for this falls apart when the paragraphs are very long, as shown in the photos.
