On a kindle go to the "Aa" where you set the fonts and such. There is a reading progress tab where you can set by page number if that ebook is able to have that feature. On my current book it is greyed out but the option is indeed on my kindle im asuming all kindles will have it. There is also a setting where you can set which button does the forward/backward page flips. there are sensors both sides i believe. if you are in the usa go to a bestbuy store to fiddle with one
