Oh, I agree. As I said, when they do Sauvignon Blanc well, they do it very well indeed, and I'm a big fan of SBs in general. They're a good, food-friendly wine that is delightful and refreshing when done well. And this wasn't bad. Just not particularly good. Of course, it was unfortunately juxtaposed to the very best of BC Sauvignon Blanc, a bottle of La Frenz.
And yes, I never yet met a dog who wasn't tottering on the brink. Just ask them.
