Do you have Calibre installed? The easiest way is to go to Preferences -> Plugins -> Get new Plugins. You'll get a list of plugins, one of which is the Page Count plugin. Install it. Afterwards, right-click on the plugin icon to customize. There are several different ways to do that. I use characters per page, but you could try Adobe Digital Editions version first. After customizing, click on the icon to run the plugin. If you're not satisfied with the result, try a different customizing option.
You also have to create a custom column in Calibre for storing page numbers. Calibre retrieves them from there when you send your book to your Kindle.
