Ereaders have one huge advantage over paper - you can turn off any progress. That is what I prefer, no pages, no location, no percent, or time left. Otherwise when approaching the end of a pbook (you can feel how little is left by feel) you either know something is going to happen soon to wrap the book up or you get sad knowing it is over soon.
