hey, thanks! Worked for me, and now it says "You have $5.00 in eBook credits, expires in 3d" below my "Buy with one-click" button.
It did feel a little sketchy to have to enter my password again on a site that didn't look quite like I'm used to. But the certificate was good, and it inspired me to set up 2-factor authentication for my Amazon account :-)
