Barry already said that he likes Amazon, but has some gripes. You can like something without approving of every aspect. I have family members that prove it.

Apparently to bug you. I am not jumping to their defense. I just find it very ironic that the complainers gripe about a company and then turn around and say here have my hard earned money because you need it more than another company.
My opinion on that is "Put up or shut up." As long as the griper is spending money with the company they don't like then to me they are just babbling because they are still helping the company stay in business. This makes me not want to trust them in anything, because they say one thing but do the opposite.
That is any company not just Amazon.
Amazon is not the only place to shop.
Walmart is not the only to place to shop.
Do not tell me you are so poor you have to shop at Walmart. Yes, I have heard the I would shop somewhere else if I could afford it. I can find the same or better prices on food at other grocery stores. I can find my paper goods cheaper at several places.
So don't pass on my leg and tell me it is raining.
On your family analogy, sorry you can choose where to shop but you are stuck with family. (Oh and as to another comment you made: I wasn't planned.)
