For those using MacOS, I thought I'd mention software that worked quickly and easily for me.
Note: I was restoring/flashing an image for the Glo HD, though the principles are the same.
- Install Etcher
- [Unsure if necessary] Install FUSE
I actually did step 2 first, but I am unaware whether it was really necessary. I chose to install the MacFuse compatibility layer, as seen in the
install window.
So maybe just try step 1, if you're on a Mac, and if it doesn't work, install the extra stuff. The extra stuff is a tool that lets you read the Linux filesystem. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to the more technical aspects of all this, so I can't give a more informed reason for installing.
Anyway, step 1 - Etcher - is a free app that is small and looks lovely. It worked first time to flash the image, and worked quickly.
