Doesn't that spoil the book/film if you know how it ends?

I wouldn't save the end of a book for a week and read something else inbetween, but I do often save the last few chapters of a book until bedtime, as that's my favourite place/time to read. I hate reading a really good book and wanting to stay up late to finish it when I know I've got to get up for work the next day though.
