Today is one of my least favourite days of the year: the Saturday before Christmas. It usually is the busiest day of the year and this close to Christmas a lot of people are stressed and easily upset when you tell them something is sold out or we don't stock a certain item. Yesterday we had one customer getting upset about the fact that we are closed both tomorrow and on Boxing Day. Another customer was upset that we weren't going to rewire her 12 arm candelabra.
I'm up early so I can go to the supermarket and get something for lunch before the store open (I normally do that after consulting hour). Not that I expect to have lunch, in anticipation of that I had a rather large breakfast.
The next three weeks will be busy, too. The school vacation starter yesterday and lasts for two weeks. And the second week of Januari will be busy when a lot of businesses have finally time to do some maintenance after the busy holiday period (plus they have a new budget).
TBH, I'm looking more forward to my vacation week in Januari than to Christmas.
