I have an older Kobo, the original Aura, not the H2O. I did help one of my neighbors set up and learn to use his H2O. I also have a Voyage and Paperwhite.

I think if I could only keep one of them it would be hard to choose between the Aura and the Paperwhite. I doubt I'd choose the Kobo although if that was the one I had to keep I'd be okay with that. It wouldn't be my first choice though.

For a long time I liked the Voyage a lot more than the Paperwhite but little by little I began to realize that the flush bezel was causing me to accidentally turn pages a lot and was distracting. These days I read more on the Paperwhite than the Voyage for that reason. That said, the light weight and small size of the Voyage feel nicer in my hand.

If I didn't have any of them and had to buy one now it would be a Paperwhite. It's my preferred ereader now. The Aura is nice but not enough to be worth the extra cost.

That said, they're all nice devices and none of them would be a bad choice.
