Maybe it's a regional difference in how a person understands words--I understood the offer to be, "buy a book from us, and we'll give you a credit of $5 that you can use on your next purchase of a book, priced $5 or more, from us." I think that here in the deep South, we would just say something like, "take $5 off of the price of any book priced $5 or more."

Thanks for bringing this to my attention--I wasn't planning to take advantage of the offer, but now I'll see what I can find.
