It could be I messed something up installing KUAL or jailbreaking.... My PW1 was on 5.6.1.1 when I got it. I downgraded to 5.3.X, did the instructions to jailbreak 5.3.X, installed KUAL, koreader, coolreader, then upgraded to back 5.6.1.1 using the bin file from Amazon.

I prefer koreader to the built-in reader b/c I can use the big OED dictionary which has loads of fun etymologies.
You need to reinstall KUAL and any other hacks after upgrading.
