You could use the Unicode character "combining long solidus overlay" (U+0338) ̸
However not all fonts display it correctly. You might have to embed a suitable font, e.g. Charis SIL, DejaVu Sans/Serif or FreeSans/FreeSerif/FreeMono.

For example d̸ear looks like this:
