this is my first post and I am wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with their kobo recently.
My kobo has worked fine for years not a single issue till two firmware updates ago it updated fine seemed okay but when it would turn on and you opened a book to its previous page it wouldn't open first time it would default back to the main page and only open the second time, then within a few days the light would switch itself on an off, not major issues but niggles that were increasing until last week after reading for an hour or so I put the kobo into sleep mode when I returned it had decided to factory reset itself.
So did a full factory reset assuming it had corrupted, put all my books back on and all seemed well till yesterday when I left the 100% charged kobo on the bedside table and returned later it stated the battery was entirely empty and needed charging, on putting it on charge it promptly factory reset again and is in the middle of another reset right now.
My books are on an sd card could this be my issue? I will reset again and this time leave the card out, but has anyone else experienced this with their readers? thank you to anyone who can offer any help
