I have both Rokus and FireTV devices, so I don't have to worry about these petty licensing squabbles. But in this instance, Youtube's not really a game-changer. I almost never use it.
As far as UIs go, I think all video streaming services stink. And their algorithms are all horrible at putting content I enjoy in front of my eyes. I have to search externally and then see which services provide what I find.

What does the FireTV have that Roku doesn't? I use a Blu Ray dvd player with apps built in. But if I were to buy a different device I always figured the Roku has everything from Amazon and Google. That was one of the benefits of being a third party.
Right now, I only use Netflix, Amazon and YouTube (there's a lot more on there than you would figure). I suppose if we ever cut cable I'd branch out a little more.
