Many are upset about this. I have a Chromecast and FireTV, so I won't lose YouTube access on my old, dumb TV.

I thought YouTube already wasn't on FireTV (if you understand what I mean). I know it isn't available through the Amazon App Store on my Fire tablet.
Prime Video only showed up in the Play Store recently.
I'm not a fan or a hater of either of them, but in the end, I feel for Google on this one. Amazon's Fire OS is just a Google-less Android and they had that underhanded Amazon App store on Android for a while.
As for Chromecast or FireTV, seems you are better off with a third party Roku or something like that. I use a Samsung Blu-Ray player that has access to YouTube and Amazon Video.
