Not ONE thing has gone right today. Not ONE.
- I'm being audited.
- My most productive bookmaker has had a death in his near-immediate family (grandfather), and has had to travel home--a huge distance, across an ocean--and I don't know when he'll be back. This is our busiest time of the year.
- I have a client that is drunk-dialing me, at midnight and thereabouts, to complain that when (insert name of Indian bookmakers here) did books for her, "all I had to do is click. I don't understand why I can't do that with these." (She can. We, however, don't send books via email; we send encrypted download links. Apparently, b/c she has AOL or what-have-you, she can't figure out how to SAVE the effing file to her downloads folder. )
- I've spent most of the day trying to get her on the damned phone, to have her dl Teamviewer, so I can open the bloody books on her desktop--and she's DUCKING my calls. I want to scream.
- I have another client that's unhappy with how her book looks, on an eInk KF8 (Voyage, or PPW, I think, maybe an Oasis) at Ember font SIZE 7. She's also complaining about how the font looks, on the numbers for numbered lists--because she's overriding the embedded font, with her font choice. Duh....
- My winter break cannot get here soon enough. It just cannot.
