Hi! I have ordered a KOA2, and it should arrive tomorrow. I have ordered it from Best Buy, so it will not come pre-registered to my Kindle account. It also has special offers. If I want to jb the KOA2, then, based on my reading of this thread, the following is what I should do. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about anything.
1) Don't let my Mac touch my KOA2! Use a Windows PC instead.
2) Add the "update.bin.tmp.partial" folder at the root of the USB drive.
3) Turn on WiFi long enough to register my KOA2 and remove special offers.
4) Follow the steps in the link in the OP.
5) Wait patiently for the rest of the magic! (with an standing offer to help if that would be useful)
