Sorry, slightly off-topic on this session, and a minor note, but it was my first thought after checking the video:
you should encourage the developers to try and remove the animations from the system. Your video shows a visible fade-out and fade-in in both devices, for example, and I would support other users in saying that EPD displays and animations are not the best marriage. Removing animations also enhances the perception of speed.
