@DiapDealer...Thanks and I go with what you say. I also have an aversion to reinventing the wheel. I have also used Tag Mechanic alot in the past, don't know why I forgot about that. Not to worry though, I felt a bit guilty when I finished that new plugin because it only took 3 lines of bs4 code in a loop to remove all spans. Your Tag Mechanic plugin is much better because it does a lot more besides so I reckon its more useful than my single purpose plugin.
