No, there should be a confirmation document visible on your kindle.
If not, look for it via your PC in the /documents directory of the Kindle's USB storage.

If nothing is happening, then check for anything that might have opened the compressed archive.

MacOSx is famous here for trying to turn it into a "safe archive" which ruins it.
Other OS sometimes have similar actions to destroy the functionality of that special "non-safe" archive.
It is suppose to be "non-safe" that is what makes it work.
