You may be able to get over that jealousy. Apparently Pocketbook is about to come out with the Touch HD 2, which (according to GoodEReader) has the same screen as the GlowLight 3 (like the GL3 it lightens or darken by time or manually). It also uses an IR Sensor (like the GlowLight 3) so it should have the clearer screen (like the GL3).

It looks like it will probably cost about twice as much as the GL3 but it does have a headphone jack for TTS and it takes a MicroSD card and it comes with 8 GBs of memory on board.

I don't know anything about Pocketbook's build quality.

According to the site (above) it also supports mobi and has "soft touch" material.
