This doesn't seem to have worked either.

I copied the script in post #1 from that thread over to a freshly FAT32 formatted sd card as 'autoscript.sh' and tried to get the kobo to boot with it. No response. The power button still sometimes lights up if I try to push it.

Any thoughts?

Running dmesg in linux shows the kobo connectecting as
