Did you finally manage to install the patch? How is the situation now? If the device boots into KSM, but you cannot successfully launch nickel by "run nickel," try to run it by "tools" > "nickel diverse.msh" > "start nickel no fmon.sh." This should make nickel work. However the images of kbmenupngs will have no function. That means you cannot return to the KSM menu with exit_nickle.png and so on. Returning to KSM might currently not be a good idea anyway. Since some of the more recent updates KSM has a screen rotation problem on the H2O.

Do not rush into opening the device!
