JenPen1, it's been too long since I've worked with my Sony PRS-500 and I never listened to music. However there was/were thread(s) early on about this issue on the 500. I seem to remember that there was a way to turn off the audio but may be mistaken. It was probably back in fall of 2006(??) & may not apply to the later Sony versions. (That's too long ago for my old mind.)

You might try doing a search (it's in the far upper right of each screen) on music. You'll probably get a lot of hits and as far as I know, you cannot do Boolean searches, e.g. searching on Music & Sony.

Not to mods; (It would be really nice to be able to do Boolean searches.)

P.S. NatCh was around back then & I think had/has a PRS-500 and may remember.
