Yes, I had the same problem -- you have to download the ebx.etd file with Acrobat 6.0 and then not ever open the file in any other version of Acrobat or Digital Editions. If you open it in Digital Editions or download it with Digital Editions in the first place, the "Print First" line disappears and you can't do this method. And if you open it with anothe version of Acrobat or even with a plugin installed in Acrobat 6.0, the ability to change the security to "No Security" vanishes.
A virtual machine, like Sun's freeware VirtualBox, is a great way to go here, so you don't have to deal with Acrobat 6.0 on your normal system. Which is why it will still be grand when Cabbage's method is adapted for PDFs -- it will avoid all this crap.
