It’s very simple. Font sizes on the Kindle are not “absolute” sizes, but a multiplier applied to the base font size specified in the book. Different books have different base font sizes, just as different printed books use different font sizes. Hence font size “4” in one book may not be the same as font size 4 in a different book. That’s the way it’s always worked, and it has nothing to do with FONT_RAMP.
