EDIT: NVMI found this post by you and it showed me the ;log mrpi command to install kaul the old way and get it back thank you for your time.
Did you have the OTA blocking directory name in-place when it updated?

The way your post reads, it sounds like you skipped parts of the directions.
Or you where following directions from some other site rather than these.
