Yep. Kitties do meow when the catch their prey.
The kitty in my avatar found a mouse in our house once. I wish I had taken a video of it. She saw the mouse at the wall and sat near it staring at it. The mouse moved a little along the wall and kitty moved a little. This went on for quite a while. I think it went half way around the family room which is 20 x 24 feet so it was a long time since the mouse always stopped for a while after moving.
