I think we were talking past each other. What I posted was meant to be done in Firefox, to get you to the Options dialog where you could tell Firefox to set itself as default browser. I'm not sure how you got to Windows settings.

But if it solved your problem, I'll leave well enough alone.

(I do hope that at some point, MS will unify settings and have all controlled from one place. As it is, I must either fiddle in PC Settings or Control Panel, and recall which place holds the setting I need to fiddle with.)
