Difference in darkness in the lighter areas possibly due to different exposure? It would be hard to tell unless you have a picture of both screens with ALL 16 levels of grey showing. I want to almost bet that the 16 levels of grey provided by the eink screen technology (no dithering software wise, but pure greys) is similar between the two. Overall the KO2 screen still looks brighter.

ETA: In the section with the light on in the dark, it is very clear that the Oasis is not lacking any details. Since color temperature can be adjusted on the Aura One, a fair comparison should have also included a shot with the color temperature of Aura One matched to the Oasis. I personally do not care too much about "correct" color temperature while reading in the dark and would take better contrast over color tint any day.
