I tried the method in post #745 several times, with no luck on both the Glo and Aura HD
But then I wipped all my downloads and files on the Kobo's + factory default to start all over again.
Installed the fw 4.6.10075,
installed the KoboRoot.tgz from
https://github.com/gtalusan/kobo-nightmode and after install I replaced the nightmode.ini with the one from the
extra directory.
And now it's working!
I can use the light-button-long-press or use the brightness slider
