I'm a flight attendant and bought a Kindle to read during "down time" on my long flights. I am now on KINDLE NUMBER 3!
When speaking with Kindle Support this last time, the agent informed me that they are getting feedback regarding airport x-ray machines damaging the Kindle's screen.
Both of my previous Kindle's screens developed black spots on them, one went completely black.
I asked the agent about any possible changes to the Kindle screen when version 2 comes out, but she had no information regarding that. She did replace my Kindle yet again, which is great. I guess I'll just use this one until this screen goes black and see what happens when I call back to have my THIRD one replaced........
You would think that they would've looked into this problem as the Kindle is PERFECT for flight attendants and people who like to read on planes. Anyone else have this issue???"
