So, I don't do any shopping for clothes online, unless I know the label or designer VERY well.
Not to mention all the crapola with making clothes ever-larger with the same label sizes. In the late 60's-early 70's, I was considered then a "perfect size 8." Not anything "perfect" about me--that was because I fit the dressmaker's dummies sizes exactly. To the 1/8th-inch. NOW? Now, I can still wear the same clothes I wore at 21--and somehow, magically, I'm now a 0-2. Sometimes a wild and woolly 4.
It's RIDICULOUS. I've seen women who should be 14-16's, in 8's. It's absurd that marketers are somehow selling that, successfully, to women (and men). With men, it's harder because they've used measurements for ages--44 long and the like--but they have messed with the S-M-L sizes enormously, pun intended.
You gotta wonder how it is that people are so willing to be gullible to fall into that crapola. "Oh, look, this 8 fits me, I'm going to buy it!" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I knew a woman that always commented on how "skinny" I was. I was thin not skinny. At one point I was SKINNY. 5'8 and under 100 pounds. When I met the woman I was 120. The woman was my height and weight. She looked chunky to herself. I just grabbed a blouse out of my closet and told her to try it on. She looked so much better when all her curves were not trying to pop out.
Then I said quit worrying about sizes and dress to the b's. She always decided going up a pants size since her granny panties were very visible under her pants.
I have since gained many more pounds. I still dress to the girls which can kindly quit growing at any time.
Now I am lucky if I can get in an XL. Of course since the lower half is still not big, that makes me look 20 pounds lighter than I am.
