For years I made the Thanksgiving turkey for the family -- wife, kids, Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. I got an 8 pound turkey breast and cooked it for 10 (or so) hours in a large crock pot.
When the kids were home I cooked all of the dinners. When they left my wife started to take an interest.
