In case it wasn't mentioned elsewhere, it is still in the US and China stores. Sorry it doesn't help you but I am glad it isn't missing due to some premeditated quality concerns.

Aluminum is not only cooler to the touch and lacking grip but it also transmits vibration more than plastic. I have 3 weeks left to buy...glad I am not the only one concerned!
