would be interested in your oppinion on the replacement. I'm in the same boat - I notice a clear light gradient from left to right on the new Oasis 2. Unfortunately, I also notice a clear top-bottom gradient on my Voyage (even after several replacements) which makes me believe that Amazon currently is just not able to produce even lighted screens and that
all of them have those gradients. I'm currently reading with my 2011 basic Kindle again without touchscreen or lighting, as those uneven lighted screens make me furious while reading :/
