Thanks for the responses. I was reading last evening in a low light room, and maybe because of the larger screen, I was more aware of it. What surprised me at the time was the randomness of it and it was the same whether it was refresh was on or off in the options. It might have been processing my 14 books or the library. This morning I tried it with the refresh on and off. Yes, like Harry said it refreshes at the beginning of the chapter. Mine for some reason does the refresh on the 1st two pages and then doesn't until end of the chapter. While paging through the library it does the refresh every 5 pages with a slight pause. I have made videos of the Voyage and the Oasis 2 on my iphone. I must say clear difference in screens (Oasis very good), but not much in the refresh. So I don't know why it was so very bothersome last evening. I have been reading on a tablet most of the time recently, and that also may have influenced my perception. I wanted to go back to the kindle again for a number of reasons, and maybe I just need to get acclimated to it again.
