One page, big long full to black and back to white flash. I have only 14 books on the device, so I didn't think that indexing would be causing it. I compared it to the Voyage, same book etc and totally different. Of course there is the refresh but so subtle you barely notice it, not so the new lovely Oasis! Any thought?

PS I just read some reviews about the page refresh and they say it is fast and smooth. Well, mine sure isn't. My 1200 books are still in the cloud, not on the device, but could it still be slowing it down? Ugh. I don't want to go through the return process!
Interesting, have not heard anyone else comment on this. I assume that when you talk about the page flash that you are doing so in comparison to other Kindle readers you have used? Do you think that the simple fact that the screen is larger (more screen for you eyes to take in) increases your perception of the flash, or do you really think the flash is technically more pronounced that on the other readers?
