I have seen Let The Right One In and Dracula as plays. Dracula had sets and costumes designed by Edward Gorey and it was the neatest play I've ever seen. The sets were actually sketches and the costumes, props and furniture were all black, white and gray, with a rare touch of red (say, a single rose in a vase). Here's an image from the play:

Yes, the original 1930s Dracula movie was based on a hit play starring Bela Lugosi.
