Post Pls help a noobie

Hi everyone

I'm sorry for asking the same repetitive questions as others might have asked but... Please help me out here!

I recently received a Kobo Aura H20 (2nd Edition) as a belayed birthday gift.
It's my very first ereader!!
And i have absolutely no friggn idea about anything ereader related haha

Anyways, I ended up buying some manga and some novels to fill it I guess since I plan to go digital.
The manga seems a little choppy when I read it on the reader tho, and the touch screen seems to lag a little (when i type my email or enter the pin it seems like theres a 2~3 second lag when i touch it to appear written).

I have absolutely no bloody idea/knowledge about anything ereader related it is completely alien to me, and I'm seeing a lot of users have said that it's better to convert manga from epub to cbz (or cbr? idk).

I've read a little on what cbz/cbr files are, however I'm still not 100% confident in what/how I'm suppose to work it to put on this ereader?

I've also browsed the forum for some threads but they all appear to be a bit too complicated for me to grasp. I'm also seeing a lot of users tell others to use "calibre" or "koreader" and im not entirely sure what they represent to the ereader. Do I have to use them? I downloaded that Kobo setup thing to view my purchases via my desktop too.

But anyways, can someone please super dumb it down for me, just to help me get an idea on what everything kobo ereader related is?

I plan to buy a fair few mangas in the future and I'd rather know how to convert them and read them with ease before i start buying more later.

And possibly if it's not too much to ask, suggest any other handy stuff for a completely ereader noob?

Thanks and apologies again
