When did large eggs get so small? I swear they're noticeably smaller than they used to be. They certainly take up less room in the pan. The issue, aside from the getting ripped off one, is that two eggs at the typical "large" size of late are not quite enough to satisfy me. Yet moving up to extra large would be ridiculous, since they generally cost about 50% more, for eggs that theoretically are only 1/8 bigger. I could eat three large eggs at that price, but that would be too much.

I swear, one of these days I'm going to start weighing them, once I feel like finding that kitchen scale that's buried in some cabinet.
