I asked this a while ago. They were having interface issues adding keyboard support to their interface. That said, it was on the list of things that the devs were interested in pursuing. It may be a no-go because of the UX focus on hand writing though.

That said: this is a full fledged linux device. Just need to add OTG suppport into the kernel, create a udev rule, and all of a sudden vim, emacs, etc. are viable.
