Edit Book Window Disappears Now and Then, etc

(1) I've mentioned this before, but the Edit Book window is still disappearing now and then, usually after I've been using Calibre for a few hours. Is there anything I can do to avoid that from happening? I have 16GB of RAM. Upgrading from 8GB didn't make any difference. When I notice things slowing down, I'll close out my browser, Editpad, and File Explorer windows, but the Edit Book window will still just disappear, usually about once a day. Then I have to reboot to free up all the memory that isn't getting cleared away.

(2) Another problem I've had that causes Calibre to freeze up, in which I have to close the Edit Book window when the Windows pop-up for "Close Program" box pops up is this: When pasting a filename over the cover image filename in the titlepage.xhtml file that isn't the correct filename (yet, because I haven't edited the filename yet to have the correct filename), the titlepage.xhtml window becomes white and never responds, and then I have to close out the book I'm editing. Usually I paste the new code for the titlepage.xhtml above the section that has the current image filename, but once in a while, I forget to do that...and then it freezes at least half the time when I do that.

(3) I'm wondering if there is any way to have the chapters automatically renamed in the TOC (to Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc) during the Convert process when they are numbers, like 1, 2, 3, etc?

The Extra CSS in Styling and the other things I've learned from my questions in this forum have been working very well, thank you! Thanks to all of you, I've been able to do many more things during conversion, but I'm still having to manually edit some books for certain things that I don't think Conversion will do. One file I had today had "Copyright" for the CSS rule for the opening chapter paragraph (in a retail book..), so I know there will be some manual editing required to delete the linespaces between paragraphs, but I'm trying to learn everything I can about what I can do when converting.

Thank you!
