Speaking of French practice, Crown/Archetype's Three Rivers Press imprint (a division of Macmillian, IIRC) has discounted to $1.99 in Canada & the US (should be the same price at all the regular retailers):

French Made Simple: Learn to speak and understand French quickly and easily by Pamela Rose Haze in their “Made Simple” teach yourself-type series of DIY learning books, which are quite good for the ones I've tried. IIRC their language learning ones have handy side-by-side English and target language reading and practice sections, though I don't know how well that would translate to ebook formatting.
