That is the second-best trick.
The first thing you should do is set the margins to the bare minimum - somewhere between 0.5 and 3 millimeters [0.02" (5/265" ) and 1/8"], depending on whether the screen is flush with bezel or sunk deeply below the bezel level.
I am not sure whether the new Oasis lets you to select such small margins. It does seem to have better and finer choice of font sizes. I am not sure about available line spacings - this is another trick for getting more text on screen.

One of numerous complaints I had about the previous generations of Kindles were the three available margin sizes - Large, Very Large and Ridiculously Large
