Book cover with blurb

I am looking for a solution to scroll through my unread books and find the next best by inspiration.

Creating a catalogue is time consuming, always outdated and not flexible.

As I like to use this on the pc I played around with calibre function.
- book details is currently the best as I can set a filter and make the view veeeeery wide to see the whole blurb. But not realy nice to look at and I need to adjust that wide afterwards.
- grid and list does not offer to show a long text at once
- book info shows each and every column without an option to hide or sort. Therefore the blurb is at the very end (not visible) and I need to scroll down.
- title browser seems to work as I am allowed to choose a template for the text to be shown under the image. But .... the text size is too big and shows only about 50 characters.

So this is where I like to ask the experts: how to create a template resp. a column to show the blurb in a smaller size.
Or maybe the size of that function needs to be changed somewhere else?

At the end this will become a nice possibility to run through all or a subset of books looking at the cover but reading the blurb.
