There is a slight pinkish to the hue, I'd prefer it to be warmer than cooler though.
My poorly calibrated photo aside; I fear you are looking for perfection on a device which has long been known not to have the perfectly lit screen. This edition is the best I've seen after going through multiple returns of PW's and Voyages in the past.
I would not be surprised if my second Oasis a worse screen than the one I'm holding in my hand.

Bolded the important part. Absolutely this is the truth. But it's not good enough for me. I'm seriously driven mad by how it gets brighter toward the bottom (right-button orientation). It does my head in.
