I notice mine has done that a couple of times, too. But it always responds the second time you press the button. My original Oasis would do this occasionally too, but with that device, you can press the page button forever, apparently, without getting the page to turn. But if you touched the screen to turn the page, the button worked fine thereafter.
I'm more concerned about the battery, but that may be reacting as it does because I'm busy loading books. I've decided to just read with it a few days and see how it does.
